The technical specifications of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are key indicators of their performance and scope of application; these primarily include physical dimensions, rated load capacity, operating speed, navigation accuracy, and operational endurance. Physical dimensions determine an AGV's maneuverability and adaptability across various working environments; designs are often compact to meet operational requirements in confined spaces, such as warehouses and production workshops.

Load capacity is a critical performance parameter reflecting the vehicle's material-handling capability. Depending on specific application needs, rated load capacities can range from tens of kilograms to several tons. Operating speeds are typically maintained between 0.5 and 2.0 m/s, balancing transport efficiency with operational safety. For applications requiring high-precision transport, AGVs must also possess high positioning accuracy, generally achieving a tolerance of ±10 mm to ±20 mm.

Navigation system parameters directly influence an AGV's autonomous operational capabilities. Common navigation methods include magnetic strip, QR code, laser, and vision-based navigation. Among these, laser and vision navigation offer superior flexibility and environmental adaptability. By utilizing navigation data, AGVs can perform path planning, automatic obstacle avoidance, and target positioning, thereby enhancing the automation of logistics and transport processes.

Battery capacity and operational endurance are also vital parameters. Most AGVs are powered by lithium batteries, offering a continuous runtime of 6 to 12 hours and supporting features such as automatic charging or rapid battery swapping. Through the optimal configuration of these parameters, AGVs can meet transport demands across diverse sectors-including industrial manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, and medical distribution-thereby boosting the operational efficiency of production and logistics systems.
